Syllabus NMDC Eletrician,Assistant & other Posts 2018

Mode of Selection:  The mode of selection consists of (1) Written Test and (2) Trade Test/Job Proficiency Test (i.e. 2^nd level test) and the maximum marks for written tests etc. in the above two stages are as follows:

Question paper booklet for written test will be in Hindi, English & Kannada which consists of objective type multiple choice questions. For answering the questions Optical Mark Reader/Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) sheet will be provided or any other mode as decided by NMDC Ltd.

NMDC reserves the right to cancel/withdraw any question/questions from the written test even at the time of evaluation.

 The Written Test question paper consists of the following:

	Part – I

The subject knowledge paper of Written Test will be on specific trade / Job. However, the Part–I of the subject knowledge paper of written test for Motor Mechanic and Diesel Mechanic Trades for the post of Maintenance Assistant (Mech.) (Tr.) will be one for both the Trades.

The candidates will be called for 2^nd level test on the basis of performance in the written test by following reservation policy. However, the candidate should secure  minimum marks in the written test, which is as follows:

“SC/ST-30 marks, OBC-35 marks, and UR - 40 marks”.

 Ratio of candidates to be called for 2^nd Level Test: The candidates will be called for 2^nd level test (i.e., trade test/ Job Proficiency Test) trade-wise/ discipline-wise in the ratio of 1:3 which is on the basis of marks obtained in the written test. In case, two or more candidates in the same trade/discipline secured equal marks in the written test and the ratio of 1:3 is increasing, in such case, all those candidates secured equal marks will be called for 2^nd level test irrespective of the above ratio.

 Trade Test / Job Proficiency Test:   There will be 2^nd level test i.e. Trade Test/Job Proficiency Test for RS-2 & RS-4 which is qualifying in nature.  The qualifying  marks in Trade Test/ Job Proficiency Test (out of a total of 100 marks) will be as under:

 

• 40 percent marks for UR Candidates


• 37 percent marks for OBC Candidates and


• 30 percent marks for SC/ST


• The candidates who have attended for 2^nd level test and failed to secure above qualifying marks stand disqualified for considering their candidature in the final merit list.

Procedure for 2^nd Level Test (i.e. Trade Test/Job Proficiency Test): The Trade Test/Job Proficiency Test will be conducted in the respective trade/job which is mandatory. The Trade Test / Job Proficiency Test is qualifying in nature and its marks will not be included in the Written Test marks. Final selection is on the basis of Written Test subject to qualifying in 2^nd Level Test and further subject to clause no. 6.1 above.

• The merit list of the candidates for 2^nd Level Test and also for final selection will be prepared Trade/Discipline wise on the basis of performance in the written test.

Selection Process

Candidates shall be selected by Syndicate Bank through a selection process consisting of an (open) online test conducted by IBPS followed by Interview and/or Group Discussion.  The selection process aims at getting applicants who are likely to succeed at various roles in the Bank. The endeavor is to select people who are bright, dedicated, have good communication skills (both oral and written), can work effectively in teams, are passionate about their career goals and who display integrity and a positive attitude.



Each Candidate will be required to obtain the minimum score in each objective test and also minimum total score in the objective test. Depending on the number of vacancies cut-offs will be decided in each test.

There will be the descriptive paper for the test of writing skill in English which has to be completed in online mode only. The descriptive test is for qualifying purpose only. The descriptive paper of only those candidates who secure minimum marks in objective test will be assessed. Further, the candidate has to secure minimum marks( 50% for general & 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD) in the descriptive test to qualify for next process viz Interview and Group discussion.

Wrong answers in objective test will attract negative marks for the online test. Along with the call letters, information handout and a sample test shall also be uploaded to the site which candidates can take to familiarize themselves with the nature of Test & Questions.

Bank reserves right to modify the structure of exam which will be intimated through its website.

 

Personal Interview and/or Group Discussion

The aggregate marks of qualified candidates in the Objective Test will be arranged in descending order in each category and the candidates in the order of merit, subject to approximately 5  times the number of vacancies declared for each category, will be called for Interview and/ or Group Discussion as decided by the Bank. The qualifying marks in Interview and/or Group Discussion will be as decided by the Bank.

The final merit list for selection will be on the basis of performance in Online Test and Interview and/or Group Discussion as decided by the Bank.

 

Centres for online test:

The list of centers for the online test is given as an  Annexure I. The exact address of the venue will be advised in the call letters.

The test will be conducted online in venues across centers in India.

Bank, however, reserves the right to cancel any of the Examination Centres and/or add some other Centres, depending upon the response, administrative feasibility, etc. o As far as possible candidates will be allotted to a centre of his/her choice however Bank also reserves the right to allow the candidate to any centre other than the one he/she has opted for.

Candidate will appear for the examination at an Examination Centre at his/her own risks and expenses and Bank will not be responsible for any injury or losses etc. of any nature.

No request for change of center for Examination shall be entertained.

Syllabus for Union Bank Recruitment for Specialist officers

SELECTION PROCESS:

The selection process may comprise of Online Examination / Group Discussion (if conducted) and / or Personal Interview. The Bank reserves the absolute right to decide as to whether to use all or any of these modes for selection for the notified posts.

Online Examination / Test: 

The structure of the Online Written Examination, if conducted, will be online and will consist of the following tests:

2.	Quantitative Aptitude	50 multiple choice questions carrying a total of 50 marks.

4.	English Language	50 multiple choice questions carrying a total of 25 marks
Total Duration of Examination will be of 120 minutes		Total 200 multiple choice questions carrying a total of 200 Marks.

The above tests except the test of English language will be available bilingually i.e.

English and Hindi.

The Bank also reserves the right to alter the structure of the online examination.

NOTE: The Bank will be analyzing the responses (answers) of individual candidates with other candidates to detect patterns of similarity of right and wrong answers. If in the analytical procedure adopted by the Bank in this regard, it is inferred / concluded that the responses have been shared and the scores obtained are not genuine / valid, the Bank reserves right to cancel the candidature of concerned candidates.

Penalty for wrong Answers:

There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the online examination. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the applicant, one fourth or 25% of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at final score.  If the total of the penalty for a test is in fraction, the marks obtained will be rounded off to the nearest integer. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the applicant; there will be no penal mark for that question.

Personal Interview

A Personal Interview of 50 marks shall be conducted to assess the academic & job knowledge, power of expression, clarity of thought, qualities of leadership, extracurricular activities, hobbies, general demeanor, behavior, communication skills, suitability for the post, etc. of the applicant. The minimum qualifying marks for the Personal Interview would be 25 marks (22.5 marks for Reserved Category applicants). The applicants not securing the minimum qualifying marks in the Personal Interview will be disqualified for selection.

Important Notes:

The applicants will be called for the Online Examination /   Group Discussion

(if conducted), on the basis of the information provided by them in their On-line Applications without verification of their age or qualification or category or any other eligibility criteria. The applicants must, therefore, ensure that they fulfill all the notified eligibility criteria as on the cut-off date prescribed in this notification, have possession of the requisite documents / certificates specified by the Bank,  and that the particulars furnished in their On-Line Application are complete, true and correct in all respects.  Merely appearing in the Online Examination /   Group Discussion (if conducted) and / or passing the Online Examination /   Group Discussion            (if conducted) and / or being called by the Bank for the Personal Interview shall not imply that the Bank is satisfied about the eligibility of the applicant.

The applicant shall be required to qualify in each Test of the Online Examination / Group Discussion (if conducted) as per cut-off marks, subject to minimum qualifying marks in the aggregate of 200 marks, both of which will be fixed by the Bank.

Generally, depending on the number of vacancies, only those applicants who have secured the minimum category-wise and test-wise cut-off marks to be decided for Online Examination / Group Discussion and rank sufficiently high in the order of merit based on the total marks scored in the Online Examination / Group Discussion shall be called for Personal Interview in the ratio of 1:3 for General / Unreserved applicants and 1:5 in case of applicants belonging to the Reserved Categories. In other words generally, for every single post in General and Reserved category, 3 General and 5 Reserved Category applicants respectively would be called for the Personal Interview depending upon their ranking as per the marks obtained by them. However, the Bank reserves its right to call for the Personal Interview applicants otherwise than in the above ratio at its sole discretion.

The applicants may also be called directly for Personal Interview without holding of Online Examination / Group Discussion. The Bank reserves its right to call any number of applicants for the Personal Interview at its sole discretion.

After the selection process, the applicants, who secure more than the prescribed minimum qualifying marks in the used selection processes, will be ranked in a descending order on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained in the Online Examination / Group Discussion and / or Personal Interview under the respective SC / ST / OBC / GEN Categories.

Subject to the vacancies available under the respective Category, only those candidates, who pass the Online Examination / Group Discussion, if conducted, as well as, the Personal Interview will be short-listed for selection in the order of the Merit / Rank obtained by them under the respective Category.

EXAMINATION CENTRES:

The Online Examination, if conducted, may be tentatively held on 09.02.2018 at the following centres:

Candidates selected in the above recruitment process will be recruited as Forex Officers or Integrated Treasury Officers in Specialised Segment in the Bank as per the post applied for.  Their Career Path in the subject category will be as per the Bank’s extant Promotion Policy after which they will be allowed to participate in promotion in the Bank to higher Grade / Scale along with other General Banking Officers in that Scale, if they are otherwise eligible and fulfil the prescribed norms as per the Bank’s Promotion Policy.

• PENALTY FOR WRONG ANSWERS (APPLICABLE TO ALL – PRELIMINARY, MAIN AND SINGLELEVEL EXAMINATIONS)

 There will be the penalty for wrong answers marked in the Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has been given by the candidate one-fourth or 0.25 of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question.

• CUTOFF SCORE

For Office Assistant (Multipurpose) - Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main examination to be considered to be shortlisted for provisional allotment. Depending on the number of vacancies available in each state, candidates will be shortlisted for provisional allotment.

For Officers Scale I - Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Main examination to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, the adequate number of candidates in each category not exceeding three times of the declared vacancies in each state shall be called for the interview, subject to availability. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview.

For Officers Scale II and III - Each candidate will be required to obtain a minimum score in each test of Online Single examination to be considered to be shortlisted for interview. Depending on the number of vacancies available, the adequate number of candidates in each category not exceeding three times of the declared vacancies shall be called for the interview, subject to availability. Prior to the completion of the interview process, scores obtained in the online main examination will not be shared with the candidates shortlisted for interview.

Mere passing in individual tests may not be sufficient as candidates should also score sufficiently high on Total score in order of merit to be called for interviews / provisional allotment. Decision of IBPS in short-listing and calling numbers of candidates for Common Interview / provisional allotment shall be Final.

• SCORES OBTAINED IN THE ONLINE EXAMINATION (Preliminary / Main / Single)

The corrected scores obtained by each of the candidates in different sessions (if held) will be normalized using the equipercentile method. Scores up to two decimal points shall be taken for the purpose of calculation.

પોલીસ  દળમાં ભરતીઃ-

• પોલીસ ખાતામાં ચાર સ્‍તરે રિક્રુટમેન્‍ટ (ભરતી) કરવામાં આવે છે. તે ચાર સ્‍તરો તેમજ તેમના માટે ઓછામાં ઓછી લાયકાત કરનાર સંસ્‍થાનું નામ નીચે પ્રમાણે છે.


• આઇ.પી.એસ. યુ.પી.એસ.સી. દ્રારા સ્‍નાતર


• જી.પી.એસ. જી.પી.એસ.સી. દ્રારાસ્‍નાતર


• સહાયક પી.એસ.આઇ. માન્‍ય યુનિવર્સિટી/સમકક્ષ સંસ્‍થાની સ્‍નાતક ડીગ્રી.


• લોકરક્ષક ધોરણ-૧ર (ઉ.મા.શાળા પ્રમાણપત્ર) અથવા માન્‍ય સમકક્ષ ડીગ્રી

શારિરિક કસોટી કવોલીફાંઇગ ટેસ્‍ટ છે. તેમાં કોઇ પણ ગુણ અપાશે નહીં.

લેખિત પરીક્ષાઃ-

(એ) કોન્‍સ્‍ટેબલ કક્ષાની જગ્‍યાઓ માટે આ લેખિત પરીક્ષા ૧૦૦ માર્કસના એક હેતુલક્ષી (ઓબ્‍જેકિટવ) પ્રશ્‍નપત્રમાં લેવાશે. સમય એક કલાકનો રહેશે. સામાન્‍ય જ્ઞાનને લગતા આ પ્રશ્‍નપત્રમાં સામાન્‍ય જ્ઞાન,વર્તમાન પ્રવાહો, મનોવિજ્ઞાન,ઇતિહાસ,ભૂગોળ, સમાજ શાસ્‍ત્ર, વિજ્ઞાન તેમજ ભારતનું બંધારણ, ઇન્‍ડીયન પીનલ કોડ, સી.આર.પી.સી. અને ભારતીય પુરાવા કાયદાને લગતા પ્રાથમિક પ્રકારના પ્રશ્‍નો આવરી લેવાશે.

 

(બી) પી.એસ.આઇ. કક્ષાની જગ્‍યા માટે ચાર પ્રશ્‍નપત્રોની હેતુલક્ષી (ઓબ્‍જેકિટવ) ટાઇપ પરીક્ષા નીચે પ્રમાણે રહેશે.

	પ્રશ્‍નપત્ર-ર	અંગેજી ભાષા કુલઃ ૭પ ગુણ સમય-ર કલાક હેતુલક્ષી (ઓબ્‍જેકિટવ) ટાઇપ
પ્રશ્‍નપત્ર-૧ અને પ્રશ્‍નપત્ર-ર માં પ્રશ્‍નો વ્‍યાકરણ, શબ્‍દો, રૂઢીપ્રયોગો, શબ્‍દ કોષ, કોમ્‍પ્રીહેન્‍શન વિગેરેનો સમાવેશ થશે.

			આ પ્રશ્‍નપત્રમાં નીચેના કાયદાને લગતા સામાન્‍ય જ્ઞાનના પ્રશ્‍નો પુછવામાં આવશે. (૧) ભારણનું બંધારણ (ર) ક્રીમીનલ પ્રોસીજર કોડ-૧૯૭૩ (૩) ઇન્‍ડીયન પીનલ કોડ- ૧૮૬૦ (૪)એવીડન્‍સ એકટ-૧૮૭ર (પ) ગુજરાત પોલીસ એકટ-૧૯પ૧ (૬)ગુજરાત પ્રોહીબીશન એકટ-૧૯૪૯ (૭) ભ્રષ્‍ટાચાર નાબૂદી અધિનિયમ-૧૯૮૮ (૮) અનુ.જાતિ/અનુ.જનજાતિ (અત્‍યાચાર નિવારણ ધારો-૧૯૮૯ (૯) મોટર વાહન ધિનિયમ-૧૯૮૮.

લેખીત પરીક્ષામાં ઉતીર્ણ થયેલ ઉમેદવારોનું પ૦ (પચ્‍ચાસ) ગુણનું મૌખિક ઇન્‍ટરવ્‍યું લેવામાં આવશે.

એન.સી.સી. (સી સર્ટીફિકેટ) ધરાવનારને વધારાના ર(બે) ગુણ અને રક્ષા શકિત યુનિવર્સિટીનાં ડિપ્‍લોમાં/ ડીગ્રી ધરાવનારને વધારાના ગુણ નિયમોનુસાર આપવામાં આવશે.

વયમર્યાદાઃ-

• સીધી ભરતીનાં સહાયક પોલીસ સબ ઇન્‍સ્‍પેકટર માટે ૧૮ થી રપ વર્ષ સુધી


• (ઉપર દર્શાવેલ વય મર્યાદામાં અનુ.જાતિ/અનુ.જનજાતિ/શા. અને શૈ.પછાત વર્ગનાં ઉમેદવારોને તથા મહિલા ઉમેદવારોને નિયમાનુસાર વધુ પ વર્ષની છુટ મળવાપાત્ર છે. એક્ષ સર્વિસ મેનને નિયમાનુસાર વયમાં છૂટ મળશે. અનામતનો લાભ ગુજરાત રાજયના અનુ.જાતિ/અનુ.જનજાતિ/શા.અને શૈ. પછાત વર્ગનાં ઉમેદવારો માટે જ રહેશે.
